Quetzal's Crochet

I made mittens! I made them over an evening, because I don't have any. I used the wrong hook size for the yarn I used, but they're still really comfortable and cute. And the pattern was super easy to follow and was great for me, a beginner. I do recommend a stitch counter though, and luckily I had a widget on my phone.

So I did it! I finished all my Christmas crafting before finals, which start next week. I don't know if I'll start a new project until after finals. It's tricky because I like keeping my hands busy. But I might keep working on my cross stitch gator for Gator Boy. But I just hate stitching on black, lol. And it's not like Gator Boy is really paying attention. He's too distracted by TBS and his pals. Gator Boy already got the best Christmas Present, which is a boyfriend, possibly two! If only we could convince him to bring Raven here...But that's for later.

The problem with black as well is that I'll probably be stitching after 8pm, using the evening to study. So I'd already be struggling with light.

I have to prep for my wedding this Saturday. I hate Daddy for deciding we had to get married before Rogue One, and before exams. But whatever.

The thing is that I really want to make a couple projects. One is a first aid kit from Red Heart. I don't have a first aid kit (I don't really have any first aid stuff in my house, even) so making this would be handy. I also want to make a penis tampon holder, because of course I do. But I want to make them bigger. I don't use half size tampons, and I want to fit more than 2 in there. I want to fit at least 4 supers. Because, frankly, if I need more than 4 supers while I'm out, I'm not leaving the house.

I bought some yarn for Dany's dragon eggs, but I think I'll use the penises as practice for those...since I don't know how to work in the round yet, and no one cares if dicks are slightly misshapen.

While I'm hanging out in the library before class, however, I'm checking out what yarns I want for certain projects and putting it all into a spreadsheet. Technically that counts as studying for my Excel final, right?

I'm going to hit my goal and finish these before exams, I think. I'm hoping to get 1-2 more done today. But here is my latest set done, for my aunt.

I'm not making these in "sets" anymore, but doing the two I can make from each ball at a time, so I just finished the set for my step-brother's girlfriend.

So this was the first thing I ever crocheted. It's a mat I have on my bedside table to put my phone on overnight. It works great.

Currently, what I'm making are scrubbies, for Christmas gifts. Great for body exfoliating, or for scrubbing pots. Either or. I'm making three each for my female friends and family members. They're a good way for me to learn a basic stitch, and learn to get my tension correct.

I have to get the three going to Fireez done by December 2. For Nomi and Elle, December 12, for my stepfamily, December 23, and for my mom's family, December 24.
